A quiet day...

My granddaughter came to spend a few weeks with me, and I decided to teach her to sew. After I had gone through a lengthy explanation of how to thread the machine, she stepped back, put her hands on her hips, and said in disbelief, "You mean you can do all that, but you can't play my Game Boy?" ~Author Unknown

Its a quiet Sunday at The Hilltop..

Oh how many beautiful skills we have to teach our young ones, don't we dearest Dutchess? And one day, your little ones will listen, READ and step back in awe of your tales, your dreams and say, "GROOTMOEDER, YOU CAN DO ALL THAT? HOW DID YOU MAKE MISS MOUSSIE BECOME SO REAL?"

It is a quiet day here at Rabbit Hill too dearest one. I had my first art show yesterday, I am fatigued, it was a success if success is measured in seeing both young and very old stop, remember, wonder and even cry. Then if that is success, I am a star. But I only sold THREE ITEMS!!!!!!!!!!!!! C'est la vie d'un artiste....

Biggest hugs mijn lieve zuster, Nita

Hello my precious friend. I just saw your comment and like always, am GRATEFUL to have a friend like you. I will never meet you, I know. But the time I had with you in Nowhere, the exchange of laughter and wonder and love will be a treasure that I will forever be GRATEFUL for. Therefore on our Thanksgiving celebration day, I will think of you, how you helped me see my abilities and how you have remained to be one of my best inspirations to this day. LOVE TO YOU! Nita
