Dreamer"s Trunk

"'When dreams get out of control, The Sandman catches their elements in his nets (usually used for saving falling stars) and stores them in the Dreamer's Trunk for safe-keeping. The trunk is full of the most extraordinary things. like sheep for counting, a nightmare - and the Big Dipper, which the Sandman uses to help sprinkle sleeping sand over the all world's children.

Somewhere in time..

“We all have our time machines. Some take us back, they're called memories. Some take us forward, they're called dreams

Let the world go by... day

There are days..........and there are Days.............

Blue Butterfly

A shy little caterpillar looked at the sky.

He hugged a leaf stem and he gave a big sigh.

The sky and the stem didn't make a reply; He didn't understand and he didn't know why.

He hid from the blue jays so quick and so sly.
He hid from the chipmunk so swift and so spry.He hid from the ant family living close by."Please, tell us, caterpillar, why are you shy? Please, little caterpillar, try not to cry.""

I'll try," said the caterpillar, "but I am shy,I would not be shy if I could just fly.I know what I'm going to do by and by:I will spin a fine bed and I'll then say good-bye."

A little wind sang him a sweet lullaby. And when he woke up. his wet wings were dry.

The shy little caterpillar whispered, "Good-bye."He flew to the sky and was no longer shy Because he had changed to a blue butterfly...
(and did you notice there are lots of (shy) bleu butterflies in Spring!)

Wings

And the night is flying on strong protecting wings ...

giggling

A gathering of fairies at midnight
In the sky you can hear giggling
The stardust fairies arive.....
They are traveling on ribbons of moonlight
Save under the wings of a bird

When the first baby laughed for the first time
the laugh broke into a thousand pieces and
went skipping about...and that was the beginning of fairies

Ride upon the wind

Come fairies take me out of this dull world,
for I would ride with you upon the wind
and dance upon the mountains like a flame.”

~~William Butler Yeats"

Mary

"Mary Had A Pretty Bird

Mary had a pretty bird,
Feathers bright and yellow,
Slender legs, upon my word
He was a pretty fellow.

The sweetest notes he always sung,
Which much delighted Mary,
And often where the cage was hung,
She stood to hear Canary."

About Birds

"I hope you love birds too. It is economical. It saves going to
heaven.

Emily Dickinson"

Hill Top - The home of Beatrix Potter, Near Sawrey, Cumbria.

Hill Top - The home of Beatrix Potter, Near Sawrey, Cumbria.: "Beatrix wrote many of her famous children's stories in this little 17th century stone house. Characters such as Tom Kitten, Samuel Whiskers and Jemima Puddleduck were all created here, and the books contain many pictures based on the house and garden.
Beatrix bought many pieces of land and property in and around Sawrey, including the Old Post Office, Castle Cottage and a number of small farms. In 1913, aged 47, she married William Heelis in London and moved to Lakeland, living at Castle Cottage which was bigger and more convenient than Hill Top."

I love Bee

"Thank goodness I was never sent to school; it would have rubbed off some of the originality.'
Beatrice Potter 28/7/1866 – 22/12/1943)

Beatrix Potter was born on 28 July 1866 in South Kensington, London. She had a sheltered childhood and amused herself by painting, using specimens from the Natural History Museum or sketching from nature in the Lake District, where the family spent summer holidays. Potter always had pets, including rabbits. She never went to school, but was taught at home by a governess. She learned to read from Sir Walter Scott's novels and Maria Edgeworth's works. From the age of fifteen until she was past thirty, she recorded her everyday life in her own secret code-writing.
Beatrix Potter’s children’s books are rooted in her passion for place and the animals she encountered in her life"

Hilltop Hall

This secluded path runs up al the way to Hilltop Hall. The place I live.
The forest that surrounds Hilltop Hall is enchanting.

April Girl

Praise the spells and bless the charms,
I found April in my arms.
April golden, April cloudy,
Gracious, cruel, tender, rowdy;
April soft in flowered languor,
April cold with sudden anger,
Ever changing, ever true --
I love April, I love you.
