Companion...

I will be traveling by train for a few days.....to pass time I will take something to read with me......and when I get tired from reading and looking out of the window I"ll close my eyes and nap...I love traveling alone..when I am by myself I'm in great company...

“The world is a looking-glass, and gives back to every man the reflection of his own face. Frown at it, and it will in turn look sourly upon you; laugh at it and with it, and it is a jolly kind companion.”
William Makepeace Thackeray

-Promise me you'll never forget me because if I thought you would I'd never leave. (~A.A. Milne)

-I promise ..I promise...and I'll wave you farewell..until we meet again dear winter..until we meet again..

Almost there...

It was a magical journey....we almost reached our destination...just a few days to go...we can already see Spring at the horizon..There we can restore our energy..and warm ourselfs in the sunlight..

It was an ideal spring day, a light blue sky, flecked with little fleecy white clouds drifting across from west to east. The sun was shining very brightly, and yet there was an exhilarating nip in the air, which set an edge to a man's energy. ~Arthur Conan Doyle

On the playlist today~'Varen'-Spring~Grieg

Going out..

““Remember what Bilbo used to say: It's a dangerous business, going out your door. You step onto the road, and if you don't keep your feet, there's no knowing where you might be swept off to.””
J.R.R. Tolkien

I'm swept off out into the sunshine...the weather on the Hilltop is marvelous..I am not the only one out there....slowly the Hilltop gets more and more little visitors...

Chevaleresse..

When I was a little girl I didn't dream about knights or other super hero's...I'm more the nutty professor kind of girl....My husband when he was a little boy DID dream about knight's..he wanted to become one..strong and brave and then he would safe the damsel in distres..
Well...he did safe a damsel..ME...he did this when he already was a very clever(and sometimes nutty) professor...and ME..I became the knight...letting him believe he safed me(by putting up a fight first...:))Us woman don't need to be safed now do we......What is a female Knight called?.... Chevaleresse - I had to look that one up....we make a very good team..the professor and his chevaleresse..

Isn't it wonderful when you find your soulmate...go visit my dear friends on Rabbit Hill..another professor..a very witty one..and another Chevaleresse...my soulsister..they are celebrating a magical day....

The White Knight is Alice's escort through the second-to-last square. As Lewis Carroll's own self-depiction in the book, the White Knight is a daydreaming inventor, a foolish and awkward man who is highly sentimental. His cleverness is entirely impractical, but it still moves us to adoration.

12.2.11

Predicament..

Sometimes you can find yourself in strange predicaments....not even knowing how you got there in the first place....

But when you are among friends...things will work itself out...!?

“At last, however, he began to think -- as you or I would have thought at first; for it is always the person not in the predicament who knows what ought to have been done in it, and would unquestionably have done it too . . .”
Charles Dickens

Sweet...Imagination...

“All our sweetest hours fly fastest.”

Come with me
And you'll be
In a world of
Pure imagination
Take a look
And you'll see
Into your imagination

We'll begin
With a spin
Traveling in
The world of my creation
What we'll see
Will defy
Explanation

If you want to view paradise
Simply look around and view it
Anything you want to, do it
Wanta change the world?
There's nothing
To it

A Ray of Sunlight....

I am so happy that the sun again shines through the windows of Hilltop Hall...just like I am happy with every ray of sunlight I find in my comment box or mail...thank you so much....

We are each gifted in a unique and important way. It is our privilege and our adventure to discover our own special light. ~Mary Dunbar

La Voliere...

No need for me to go and visit a voliere today..the birds are back in my garden..listen....!

Use the talents you possess - for the woods would be a very silent place if no birds sang except for the best. ~Henry Van Dyke

Art~Camille Cabaillot Lassalle~At the Birdsellers.
On the playlist today..La Voliere-Camile Saint Saens.

Gaga

“It's possible to forget how alive we really are. We can become tired, just existing, instead of really living. We need to remind ourselves of the fun of life, and make that a habit. Find those places inside that jump for joy, and do things”

Like taking a bubble bath and singing this song....yes..you've got it...enjoy yourself..!!!

Then dress up..........................

And who knows what wil happen next...............................

I am back sooner then expected because I've got the sniffles...The sun is shining brightly on The Hilltop and the birds are very busy singing there song...marvelous:)

Sunday Circus...

The Fairy Circus

Extra, extra! Step right up!
Come and see the show
We promise to bedazzle you
And make your spirits glow

See sparkling, living fairies
And our little forest friends
Performing feats of magic
Before the extravaganza ends

The greatest known performers
From fairyland, so fair
Will make you awe and wonder
And lose all your despair

No lions or fine elephants
Will join us on our stage
They’re much too big and lovely
And we never use a cage

We have a talking bunny
A chipmunk who can fly
A leapfrog who swings on trapeze
Whose limit is the sky

Mr. Mouse has wisdom
So much he understands
He'll answer all the questions
You have of different lands

The fairies will enchant you
With cheerful wide-eyed glee
But only if you lift the veil
And truly want to see

Welcome to our circus tent
Hear our sacred verse
Lift your wings upon the breeze
Into your Psyche immerse

Explore the mystery of the Fae
You have a pass to roam
When you’ve seen the other side
We’ll safely guide you home

Impossible....are you sure

Six impossible things....Do tell me Alice....and lets do it before breakfast because I'm in a hurry...

1. There is a potion that can make you shrink.
2. There is a cake that can make you grow.
3. Animals can talk.
4. There is a cat that can disappear.
5. There is a place called Wonderland.
6. I can slay the Jabberwocky

Art Hary Roundtree.

3.2.11

One by One..

I knew it...one by one the fairies are coming back...I spotted a pixie in the Library and now I saw a little starry one in the garden...Its still very cold..but there in a frosty drizzling snowy rain a little dare devil elf risked a walk through the garden...Take shelter dear one..its still winter...

“To love is to risk not being loved in return. To hope is to risk pain. To try is to risk failure, but risk must be taken because the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing.”

2.2.11

As simple as that...

Definition: not complex; not infolded or entangled; uncombined; not compounded; not blended with something else; not complicated;......

Sometimes..when I'm sitting in my birdsnest...at my computer..creating a post..THE WORLD steps in...unannounced..very loud..asking..Why are you not writing about world peace ,hunger, religion, blizzards and tsunamis....?
-Well...because I KNOW whats happening outside...I KNOW we are living in difficult times..I know people struggle..I know...and thats why..
-Why WHAT...?
-Thats why I write about HOPE and FAITH..thats why I write about beauty, art and imagination....and that's why I visit AMAZING blogs from AMAZING people, people who stay strong..and share love and friendship..This is not always easy..when you have to take care of a family...have big responsibilities..a demanding job..
But I do know dear world that its ever so important...to seek something simple..something to believe in..so you can carry on..something like..for me..looking in the eyes of my granddaughter..connecting..still so very innocent...so full of trust..so precious.
So with this in mind I write...hopeful,and full of graditude...its a simple as that...
And now dear world..carry on..skedaddle..I'm working here....

There are things in life you'll learn and
In time you'll see
Cause out there somewhere
It's all waiting
If you keep believing
So don't run, don't hide
It will be all right
You'll see, trust me
I'll be there watching over you

Empty books.....?

I do believe there was a light burning in one of these 'empty books'...could it be that a little fairy arrived in The Hilltop Library..

A bookish pixie reads a tale
Of realms I cannot see
Until I open inner-eyes
And set my spirit free...
