Advice from a tree...

Dear Friend,

Stand Tall and Proud
Sink your roots deeply into the Earth
Reflect the light of a greater source
Think long term
Go out on a limb
Remember your place among all living beings
Embrace with joy the changing seasons
For each yields its own abundance
The Energy and Birth of Spring
The Growth and Contentment of Summer
The Wisdom to let go of leaves in the Fall
The Rest and Quiet Renewal of Winter

Feel the wind and the sun
And delight in their presence
Look up at the moon that shines down upon you
And the mystery of the stars at night.
Seek nourishment from the good things in life
Simple pleasures
Earth, fresh air, light

Be content with your natural beauty
Drink plenty of water
Let your limbs sway and dance in the breezes
Be flexible
Remember your roots

Enjoy the view!

The storm has passed...the trees on the Hilltop are still standing..We are now working in the garden...cleaning up after this thunderstorm..All the little creatures are scurrying along in the undergrowth again..Slowly the sun comes out from her hidingplace..and the evening light is amazingly beautiful..shining through the trees ..like fireflies..

Storm...

A passing storm..

Life does not consist mainly, or even largely, of facts and happenings. It consists mainly of the storm of thought that is forever flowing through one's head.”

Its Monday..

Lets start this week with some nonsense...

A Present..

Why are we only giving each other presents on special occasions....why not on just an ordinary day..and why are we not giving presents to ourselves..just for being there..!
With this I don't mean anything like for instance the perfume you buy..saying to the lady in the shop..-No you don't have to make a parcel of it...no ribbons or beautiful wrapping paper..ITS JUST FOR ME..-I mean gifts you CAN'T buy...gifts that are THERE...around you every day but we rarely see as such..
Give yourself something really really special..and make a little journal in which you write...today I gave myself....a lady bird...because it landed on my shoulder..chasing a white feather in the wind and keeping it..or, today I gave myself the beautiful smile of my daughter when she saw me standing on her doorstep..

-I give myself -the present-because I am so fortunate to live it..-

“To get up each morning with the resolve to be happy... is to set our own conditions to the events of each day. To do this is to condition circumstances instead of being conditioned by them.”

Just Bee...

The Bee

His labor is a chant,
His idleness a tune;
Oh, for the bee’s experience
Of clovers and of noon!

Emily Dickinson –

For ever and ever....

One of the strange things about living in the world is that it is only
now and then one is quite sure one is going to live forever and ever and
ever. One knows it sometimes when one gets up at the tender solemn
dawn-time and goes out and stands alone and throws one's head far back
and looks up and up and watches the pale sky slowly changing and
flushing and marvelous unknown things happening until the East almost
makes one cry out and one's heart stands still at the strange unchanging
majesty of the rising of the sun--which has been happening every morning
for thousands and thousands and thousands of years. One knows it then
for a moment or so. And one knows it sometimes when one stands by
oneself in a wood at sunset and the mysterious deep gold stillness
slanting through and under the branches seems to be saying slowly again
and again something one cannot quite hear, however much one tries...

Silencio.....just LISTEN

may my heart always be open to little
birds who are the secrets of living
whatever they sing is better than to know
and if men should not hear them men are old

may my mind stroll about hungry
and fearless and thirsty and supple
and even if it's sunday may I be wrong
for whenever men are right they are not young

and may myself do nothing usefully
and love yourself so more than truly
there's never been quite such a fool who could fail
pulling all the sky over him with one smile

E.E. Cummings.

I.m back...and in a little while I will be back on track...wishing you a beautiful Sunday...T.D
