i hold fairy tales very dear as well, dutchess. actually, i am quite fond of pretty much all allegory. and i love to read aloud to my beloved. stories seem to swell to the sound of one's voice.

I absolutely loved fairy stories when I was young, I think I must be old enough to start reading them again now!

What a daring child! I was alway enamored by Little Red Ridinghood because she was soooo wise. I always wanted to be brave and wise just like her. Thank you for sharing this!!! Cathy

I can recall my mother reading this to me, and it is one of my very early memories. In fact, most of my earliest memories involve my mother reading to me ...lots of Grimm's fairytales from the Child Craft books. Love the painting!

Oh dear Dutchess...how you take me back to Opa's house today. He always told me stories as a small child...RotKappchen was my favorite! I can close my eyes and hear his voice ... thank you ever so much for this brief moment of bliss!
