When I was a little girl in our home whe had a Cuckoo Clock...fascinating!:)
I would stand before the clock and wait and wait..to see the cuckoo..
This old cuckoo clock now hangs in the livingroom of my brothers house,it still cuckoo's but with a strange coughing sound..a cuckoo with a cold!

I love it!!! We had one when I was a child, too. There was sort of a ritual my dad had when winding the clocks...one the Grandfather clock and the Cockoo clock! Thanks for bringing back these memories! Cathy
My next door neighbours have a cuckoo clock which I can hear through their open window sometimes when I am in our garden - it always makes me smile:) When I was a child we had a pendulum clock but instead of a cuckoo it had a weather man and lady - he dressed for rain and she dressed for sunshine - I loved it.
