My dearest, Have a lovely stroll and enjoy the moment of peace. I have finished my thesis for now, sending it off gleefully to my adviser this morning. I am not going to look at it again until he sends me back the draft to revise! It is now time to play and wander. Fondly, Anita
Dear Dutchess. Porto is very special to me. All the north of Portugal.I think I lived there in others times ;) My favourite places: Igreja de São Francisco (Saint Francis Church); Café Magestic, The Douro itself...
But, next time, I want to go to Casa de Sezim near Guimarães ( the city where my country was born)...It is an aristocratic house with world famous paintings in the walls...probably you already know...but I remember to tell you because you like art. In Lisbon, there is Fundação Medeiros e Almeida. It is very discrete, but scholars from all over the world come to study the collection. I think it is a must. Gulbenkian Museum (my university it was in front), of course, but it is more known. If someday you go to Cascais 8probably you know already it), please eat a Santini ice-cream for me or if go to Sintra, eat a "travesseiro" (cake) in Piriquita for me too. Sintra is a magical place. There is a Convent in the rocks (amazing!) with small cellars, Convento dos Capuchos.A must! Well, I will go. I do not want to tired with my endless conversation ;)
