Well, I must admit, I gave away almost all of my paperback books summer before last. They were taking over our storage room and...it was time to kiss them (literally) good-bye and let somebody else enjoy them. But since my husband gave away his professional journals... we just decided to each make this "sacrifice" or else as you said, move to a bigger apartment!I have missed some of them but am comforted with the fact that amazon.com now exists - and I can always order any I really miss. That being said, I kept all my first editions and old books...
Love this painting!

I was bemoaning the fact that I having trouble the other day because I was making no progress in my fall cleaning. My youngest reminded me of one of my favorite sayings..."Dull women have clean houses." Perhaps but now I'm off the "tidy" up a bit! Wishing you well and enjoyed this post! Cathy

Oh my precious, this lovely post didn't reach me this morning before I left for work, but oh how I agree; our home has books in EVERY ROOM OF THE HOUSE including the kitchen and bathrooms! TEEEEEHEHEEEEE! Oh, and my sweet one, tears of joy.....I am so blessed to be connected to an angel like you who knows the beauty of these glorious men we are married to...how they love us so, non? I hope you are enjoying every moment with your darling husband and the family. You have so much to love and be thankful for, and even though you all do not have a Thanksgiving holiday, I will raise my cup in honor of you my friend, the person who will always be responsible for waking me up in my imagination....much love to you and yours dearest, Nita

So many little treasures through the years.. It really pulls at my heart to let things go. I know we can't keep it all, but how to choose.. Lovely post dear Dutchess. I love the art images.
