Be kind..

Mary's Lamb

  by Sarah Josepha Hale

Mary had a little lamb,
Its fleece was white as snow,
And every where that Mary went
The lamb was sure to go;
He followed her to school one day—
That was against the rule,
It made the children laugh and play,
To see a lamb at school.
And so the Teacher turned him out
, But still he lingered near,
And waited patiently about,
Till Mary did appear;
And then he ran to her,
and laid His head upon her arm,
As if he said—"I'm not afraid—
You'll keep me from all harm."
"What makes the lamb love Mary so?"
The eager children cry— "
O, Mary loves the lamb, you know,"
The Teacher did reply;—
"And you each gentle animal
In confidence may bind,
And make them follow at your call, If you are always kind."

This is a lovely poem...with a wonderful message..

My darling Dutchess, my daily source of magic.....

I was JUST about to read this post earlier but then Ruben was READY to leave for school. With one car, I am the chauffeur of the family so OFF WE WENT! This is the most darling post. Those little lambs remind me of the children at school. Jumping about, the boys BUTTING heads and sparring, and just feeling their freedom. I only wish that the system was not so demanding and ridiculous, or else I would have stayed on teaching because it is all about THE CHILDREN. But panic attacks and stomach aches daily on my part called for a change.

Kindness has always been your motto and way of living, and I am just so happy to have been on the receiving end of it for four years.

Have a peaceful day mijn lieve zuster...Nita

I don't think I am as excited about Easter as this little lamb, but I am with you on the kindness thing.

Happy Easter to you and yours.

It's sunny in Kansas...this is so happiness-inducing.
