Oh dearest Dutchess, what a fabulous painting you share! teehee....this young maiden is enjoying the freedom of thought through reading, a pleasure that many people could not enjoy, and even to this day, some still can't. That's why I love to expose my students to the joys of reading in another language. By doing so, they discover the details of their own language.
