Don't chase away the dawn..

On tip toes..awakened by the birds..I walk quietly through the grass on the Hilltop..its covered with pearls..dewdrops in first light..another day..another dawn..another summers day..

“Not knowing when the dawn will come, I open every door.”
 Emily Dickinson

I like the idea of ambling through the grass; I have to get used to being a bit alone this summer, but it is the perfect time to read, think and write. I think Miss Dickinson will accompany me this evening for a read on my porch. Oh my friend, happy day!

My dear and wonderful Dutchess....I left a comment on that WONDERFUL post from four years ago....and I wanted to come back here to make sure you got my response.

I will NEVER forget that book exchange. I will never forget writing that poem, because you inspired it. I am now writing poetry because of YOU.

You are that one special star that shines for me, that I will see always, in the sky. I have to tell you that your special message in my mailbox and your memory of that book was a timely message for me today. Isn't it remarkable how I sent you that book, then FOUR years later, you sent me the link that post? It is a miracle for me at this moment that I received it, because I was thinking of you.

I will never forget.
