Heigh- Ho..

Heigh Ho, How was/is your winter..are you still struggling, shoveling slush or snow..Trying to get to work with a heavy heart thinking will this cold ever leave and will there be sun to warm my frozen winter toes..(The phrase "Heigh-Ho" was first recorded in 1553 and is defined as an expression of "yawning, sighing, languor, weariness, disappointment")

While in your country lady Winter still dwells..

                                                          I wish you well...

... And a warm place near the fire...

xoxo

Dear Dutchess,
What a wonderful post.. I love the painting, and the video! Anita will love this.. What beautiful homes and images of yesteryear. Thank you for sharing.

Today I spent the day in Temecula.
Window shopping in a Scandinavian shop.. 78 degrees.. A beautiful day. I wish I could send you some warm weather.
blessings,
Penny and Bebe

HERE I AM! I AM SO LATE! Dearest one, you probably posted this yesterday while I was out and about in Edina where I teach, just outside of MINNEAPOLIS!

Dear Penny is correct; I LOVE THIS! You know I run over here the moment I see you have posted, and this was quite the lovely surprise and tribute to a real, old-fashioned Minneapolis winter!

See our lovely houses? Many of those old homes are still here! The lakes, frozen over....see them? See how pretty it is here? And you should see all the people still walking on the frozen lakes! Today is our 33rd wedding anniversary. We are going out to the lakes this weekend (not to walk on them) and the temperatures are rising to 50F!!!!!

Oh I am so thrilled to see this post. Our city is so gorgeous, and you showed Minnehaha Falls, a gorgeous waterfall. The creek runs all through Minneapolis and ends up at the falls.

If ever you are here, I will show you around. You will love it.

Thank you for this tribute, and our winter is slowly yielding to spring. Much love lieve zuster!

I just came back for more of my vintage city! No "Heigh Ho" from me today; we had 33 degree weather and our snow has melted!
