Farewell..

There are moments I stop and pause..my last few days in this old house...and I say farewell to the walls that protected me from the cold..farewell to the stained glass windows that filtered the sunlight into rainbows..farewell to the sounds of the old plumbing system - a magical wind orchestra - farewell to the trees that surrounded us and whispered stories and sounded like the sea on stormy days..farewell..

And farewell dear friends...at least for a while..I will be back when I.m settled into my new home..(and when  the internet is up and running..)

Much love to you..stay warm and stay happy..!

Oh my friend, my zuster, my memory-maker. This blogging adventure of mine has only been made what it is today (a magical music box of memories) by YOU and Penny, Ruben and all the imaginings of our minds put together. That word farewell is an interesting word to be...it has a lull to it that is pleasant, but the word itself is bittersweet; I've had to say it a few times in different venues such as blogging, to friends while moving away from my native state, to friends from where I went to school, to my parents. But to say farewell to a home, a box that like you so beautiful say here, has "protected you" - that is hard to say goodbye to. I wish you well, I wish you NEW and unforgettable times in your new home, and please know that we love you and wait to see your beautiful spirit again when the internet is up. I will be here, every morning.

Dearest Dutchess,
To say farewell to a home can be bittersweet.. So many memories to treasure.... Wishing you the best in your new home.. May you come to know it as a place of inspiration, love, laughter and much joy.
I will be thinking of you, and of course Bebe will be thinking of Miss Moussie.
Love and blessings, dear friend.
Penny

beloved Dutchess...I, too, will miss you gently in the daily respite I find here. I can imagine having to leave a nest created so cozy...in my lifetime I have moved over 30 times coming from a military family....I now treasure my tiny cottage more than I can express and hope to live here until the Lord call me home....take good care and come back to us soon...
with love, Karla
