About Loss and Tragedy..

Tragedy comes in all shapes and sizes...
.. last week my granddaughter lost her beloved Yoshi..
he was her friend...she told him stories and secrets..
There was  a search..bur sadly Yoshi is gone..a tragedy!!

-wel you can always buy a new Yoshi...(although its not the same)-
Is this how you learn to cope with loss and tragedy.?

Today I woke up ..and why o why do I read the paper or watch the news..
                 Another attack...and so much grief..
If there is something I did learn its that I didn't learn...
The tragedies are just bigger..the grief sometimes unbearable..

I did create an escape plan...
..I keep it in my pocket..

.......................................
(ow...and when anybody found Yoshi...let me know-he has little wheels to race...so maybe he went on a trip around the world..)

Dearest, dearest Dutchess...you are so wise. I think you just may be right about how we learn to cope. As children, we lose what is most dear to us and a small piece of us gets lost with it. As an adult, we go through more and more tragedies that take out even bigger chunks from our being. We are constantly being whittled down to the soul.

Blankets and toys, a loss to the littles. Too much in this world.
