Ready or not...

Ready or  not...here I come ..Whispered winter ..yesterday..on a cold and misty night..!
Laying in my bed I was thinking...am I ready for the cold..?

                                                            Is my garden ready...

I planted winter violets...

..and Spring promises..

My gigantic Catalpa tree....

Before the frost its necessary to trim and prune the tree...
..without its leaves it looks very much like this..

but nicer...

after we gather the branches...

we have enough to keep a fire going in winter..

My garden gnome was very happy with all the work getting done..

so were the birds...
because we celebrated the beginning of a new season..

with a bird cake...

much appreciated...
Robins are always the ones who arrive first on a party..

......................................
Wishing you a lovely weekend..shall we keep each other company from Winter into Spring..xxx

Precious Dutchess, I am late, but I believe that's OK because winter is long and embracing. What a darling, lovely cake you have prepared for the birdies, and yes, the robins are always first to arrive! Sweet sister, winter has also spoken to me and has invited me to lay my head on a fluffy white pillow of coolness, to settle my hot heart full of responsibilities, anxieties over work. WInter is good. It's cold, but it's a necessary moment in our times, isn't it! WEll done as always, for you celebrate no matter what season with such love.

Winter is here to stay for the next 35 months, friend D … Canada geese, starlings and robins have all gone South on vacation … smiles … Chickadees stay and become very tame because of hunger ... Happy Winter, eh? Much love, cat.
