Mine have returned as well. I was a bit concerned because they used to nest above my back door (very messy, but I tolerated it as they're just the sweetest birds) and over the winter, while they were away, I screened in the back porch, so the door was inaccessible to them. I built a special nesting box outside for them. They were home about a week and didn't seem interested. Finally, they have found it and are beginning to build their nest. I can now watch them work from the window above my kitchen sink, open it and hear their delightful chattering. And best of all ... the dropping remain outside. Enjoy your birds!

No swallows here, but I heard geese overhead at night and I heard a robin sing at 0500 am in the morning:)
