Thank you so much for this post. I have loved and admired Beatrix Potter for years, and I have been inspired by her desire to draw and paint the things she loved from her world. She was obviously captivated by the beautiful, natural elements in her surroundings, and this fueled her imagination. And we are the better for it!

lovely:) I saw the film Miss Potter for the first time over the weekend and I loved every minute of it. I think she had great foresight in using her income from all the books to buy up and preserve land in the Lake District. She was such a strong and imaginative woman.
Oh dear Dutchess....I left you a long message here last night and fear blogger has eaten it for a midnight snack as I do not see it!
I wanted to tell you how much I love Miss Potter and her stories. Miss Tittlemouse is my favorite as it is a bit of a self portait of me in the cozy cottage:)
We are all still children at heart and must keep that spark alive inside of us forever!
