Still....

There she was..in the still of a midwinter night...the first Fairy to visit the garden...

O, wind, if winter comes, can spring be far behind?”

Oh lovely!!! The first Fairie sighting!

I once read {and sadly now can't remember where}, that in the cold weather the Faeries leave, for warmer climes. Leaving the colder places to the Gnomes and etc. But before leaving, they admonish the Gnomes to take good care of everything, until warmth and they return.

So sweet. I wish I could remember where I read that...

Aunt Amelia
"Black are my steps on silver sod;
Thick blows my frosty breath abroad;
And tree and house, and hill and lake,
Are frosted like a wedding cake."
~ Robert Louis Stevenson, "Winter Time"

Oh what a twinkeling frosted fairy in the mist of the night....enchanting to be sure!
I prefer winter and fall, when you feel the bone structure of the landscape - the loneliness of it, the dead feeling of winter. Something waits beneath it, the whole story doesn't show.
~Andrew Wyeth
I now read of your impending move to a new nest. This will be a change that can be very unnerving but look at it as an adventure dear Dutchess. Might mr Bee come back to be with you all again? He is in ever so much of a free spirited mood I see.
You are in my thoughts for strength and that all good things will come from your move.
I thank you kindly for th eownderful award that you have passed on to me....you are so deserving of it and I take it humbley.
Always your servant, Miss Peach
PS: Miss Mousie is welcome to stay with me for as long as she may like until you are settled into your new nest. I will look out for her well being with mommies help:)
