The Frozen Zone..

The Project Gutenberg eBook of King Winter.

King Winter dwells in the North;

Far away in the Frozen Zone,

In a palace of snow he holds his court,

And sits on an icy throne.

He has cushions of course: his Queen

Made them out of her wedding gown.

Stuffing them well with snowflakes fine,

And soft as eiderdown.

King Winter rules....but from now on I keep thinking "SPRING"

I think for the last week I have been the scullery maid for "his majesty." I too am thinking Spring! LOVELY! Cathy

Brr - King Winter rules here, too, but a glimmer of hope - I saw my first snowdrops at the weekend - a small sign that spring is on the way:)

What a delightful view of winter though!

But yes, the cold is getting to me too, by now. And avoiding the ice, when on foot. -sigh-

But I'm still having silly fun, by checking the length of icicles, out my back patio window, each morning. :-)

Wonderfull a pillow made from a wedding dress filled with snow flakes.
My sister in law just told me that it snows at the moment where she lives. Here we got for the first time rain after weeks of heat.

This is one of our coldest winters here on the west coast of Canada, but the ice along the lake is quite beautiful. A wonderful poem and painting.
