'Twas just a garden in the rain,
close to a little leafy lane
a touch of colour 'neath skies of gray!
The raindrops kissed the flower beds
the blossoms raised their thirsty heads
a perfumed thank you they seem to say!
Surely here was charm beyond compare to view
maybe it was just that I was there
with you!

Good morning dear Dutchess,
What a sweet and lovely poem. We have been getting more rain in the last 3 days than we have had the entire summer; it is wonderful. Our creeks are back to flowing again and everything is fresh and green--a perfect place for a little frog, a sweet mouse, a bombastic bear and a hero named TomTom! Will TomTom be renting another carriage for the theatre? Maybe he better get one with a top so that the Divine Miss M. doesn't get drenched! Have a beautiful weekend, Anita
Oh my dear Dutchess! Sometimes these playlists are very unreliable! I think it best that Gustave brings his banjo with him! I believe he can crank out a fine list of favorites that will be crowd pleasers! Oh dear...is he driving? Can he drive in the rain? It is quite slippery out here and there are still trees down on the ground from the tornado! Gustave is prudent; I trust you will all arrive safely! We have a lovely Bed and Breakfast just in case you don't want to risk the journey back...warm beds, fireplaces and a lovely breakfast in the morning!!!! Mille bisous, Anita
