Happy B Day...(to my Daughters)

“Your birthday is a special time to celebrate the gift of 'you' to the world.”

Yesterday we celebrated te birthday of my youngest daughter....she is now 23...Goodness,how time flies!!
She told me she was looking forward to having a lovely B day party but that she also feels B days are not the same as when she was young!!
Why not I asked...Well, she answered...when I was little ..I would open up my eyes early in the morning and there you were...saying, wake up Birthday girl..and singing a happy birthday song together with my sisters..Then, there was the walk downstairs ..to the living room..balloons and decorations...a breakfast table with goodies...my chair with flowers...cards with wishes,and... yes of course presents..but they were not so important...it was the attention and the love ...the hugs and kisses...and the cake..

Dear Little girl, you can't imagine how happy you made me with these words...I remember me..standing on a ladder in the living room in the middle of the night ..hanging up the decorations..setting the table ..writing a card with lovely wishes..baking 'appelflappen'and almost falling asleep doing so. I was a single mom at the time and working double shifts as a nurse..Live wasn't easy..but we managed. And now hearing you say these sweet things my heart sings...Now you are living in another home ,another city...but I think next year on the night before your B Day I will go and hide in your attic..and when you and your hubby are fast asleep I will tip toe down the stairs ..decorate your house and table..and wake you in the morning ..singing...Happy B DAY..little girl....

Oh my dearest,

This is so heart warming!!! You daughters are so lucky to have you and all the hard work you put into making the best memories for them! I have to say however, HAPPY "BIRTH"DAY to YOU, for you gave birth on this day and you deserve the ROYAL TREATMENT as all our mommas deserve!!

Love to you all, Anita

What a lovely post, congratulations to both of you!!!
It is so nice to read about another mom across the ocean doing exactly the same as I did, for the birthday of her child!
I wish every child would experience the same :)
Have a wonderful day!
