We wait...

And stare at the face of the clock...tick tock tick tock...what will happen next..

A house is never still in darkness to those who listen intently; there is a whispering in distant chambers, an unearthly hand presses the snib of the window, the latch rises. Ghosts were created when the first man awoke in the night. ~J.M. Barrie, Little Minister

I cannot think of a better occupation of my time than being in a little cottage in Nowhere, sitting next to cozy fire and chatting it up with our dear friends Big Bear and Little Mouse. Love the poem by Rose Fyleman. I could swear that late in the evening I hear faint, high pitched singing at our little hearth even though it boasts no fire.

Your friend,
Rattus,

P.S., You have really got old Tea Rat in a tizzy with your mention of the possibility in the hope of winning Miss Moussie's affections. He's been flying non-stop over Nowhere ever since.

Big Bear and Little Mouse.. The stories brought a tear to my eye and joy to my heart. How lovely it would be if we all could sit together and have conversation. Such beautiful illustrations Dutchess. Love your new background.
Warm regards,
Penny
