Buttercups....(or,for Emily)

On May 15, 1886, Emily Dickinson died . She was laid in a white coffin with vanilla-scented heliotrope, a Lady's Slipper orchid, and a "knot of blue field violets" placed about it.  At Dickinson's request, her coffin was not driven but carried through fields of buttercups"

“Love is like life. Merely longer.”

 (Emily Dickinson).

"Love is like life...merely longer." How brilliant she was, and I think I will pull out her works this weekend and enjoy her words by my garden side....oh dearest Dutchess, you have the heart of gold, like a buttercup.

Brilliant post today reminding me that love is forever. YAHOOO! Don't you just LOVE THAT?
