The horror of it all....

I am sure Halloween is fun and you can enjoy the creepiness...but what I saw around me the last couple of  days was far beyond creepy...!  Maybe I missed the point..maybe I don't understand this Halloween business at all..But seeing little children to look like zombies out of an episode of the living dead...Hmm...!

We seem to live from one - Event- to another, each one to be bigger and more exiting then the one we experienced before...Why..? Is it because its never enough..?
Are we doing this just for the thrill of it all ?
Are our expectations to great and does real life not measure up..

Or are we in hiding..hiding behind the preparations..the anticipation..because this world today  in these troubled times can be too much..I mean it can be REALLY scary..and because of the horror of it all ....we try to outrun the fear..seek shelter behind masks ..wave light-sables ..or walk around in disguise dressed as an action hero..Just a thought :)

Have fun scaring  the demons that chase you this Halloween weekend...and please do so in real life too......but be careful whats hiding behind the mask..:). Its possible its expectations are much different then you expected...

Never liked Halloween and its costumes of horror for fun, as what fun can be in horror? I just don't get it, friend D … The world is full of horror, and that's not funny. Much love, cat.

Dearest one, I so understand everything you are saying because this sort of HORROR SHOW is what I see everyday, on the news, at school, in our society. Oh how accurate you are to not only speak about it but to speak directly to a problem that is unwinding more and more. As a teacher of young children, it saddens me that they will be entering into this world of shadows UNPREPARED to understand and distinguish between good and bad. Yes, the most fearful demons we fight are not the goules and goblins of our caricatures but those of every day life that are disguised as the ordinary parts of our day. The "wolf in sheeps' clothing" is the one to watch, avoid, and battle. HUGS TO YOU.
